Societal Challenges – Sociological Answers? At the 5th Conference of the Academy of Sociology, we will discuss the challenges facing today’s societies, be they the result of climate change, health epidemics, armed conflicts, economic upheavals, demographic ageing, human migration, multifaceted social inequalities, political populism, or public disinformation through, among other things, generative artificial intelligence. The conference will focus on the problem-solving capacities of sociology and how to transfer evidence-based findings to the public and to policy makers. Read the thematic outline for more details!
